At Clare Maiden Jewellery, we do not condone precious jewellery being called “fine jewellery” if it’s production has involved potential harm to people, the environment or our planet - we do not consider that acceptable or “fine” in any way.

Because of this, we prioritise ethical production, using Fairtrade or recycled metals, lab-grown diamonds and Ocean Diamonds and ethically sourced gemstones whenever practical. We use skilled British suppliers and partners for anything we cannot do in-house and collect and recycle all our scrap and workshop waste, with minimal use and safe disposal of any chemicals used.  

We are an Ocean Diamonds appointed retailer and  Fairtrade Gold Sales Ambassador.

Our ethically sourced and hand-made jewellery may be more expensive than mass-produced high-street items, but that’s because you are paying for skilled and experienced British craftspeople to design and manufacture your pieces by hand along with the inclusion of responsibly mined or created materials where the safety and welfare of the workers is the priority.
